Sandy Horst

Sandy Horst, Partner and CFO of Bluestem, graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Dakota in 1987 with a BS degree, majoring in accounting. Upon earning her CPA license, she began her career with McGladrey & Pullen, LLP, the 7th largest national certified public accounting firm, in Moline, Illinois. She later transferred to Sioux Falls where she was promoted to Senior Manager in the Tax Department. In 1998 she joined Bluestem, taking responsibility for financial reporting, SBIC and SEC compliance, taxation, budgeting, treasury/cash management, and corporate profitability accountability. Sandy plays a key role in driving the financial management, planning and controls throughout the organization, and is an integral part of Bluestem's on-going success. Sandy is married to Steve Isaacson. Her son Michael and family reside in Minnesota.
